VenmoPLEASE HELP ME FIND THE RIGHT HOME FOR GHOST ️
Ghost is a 2-year-old neutered, fully vaccinated Belgian Malinois who needs a permanent home with someone who understands and appreciates this breed.
I want to explain his situation because Ghost was never supposed to be my dog. I agreed to care for him temporarily, and the situation became permanent through no choice of his own. I already have three dogs, and because I am disabled, I cannot physically give a young working dog the exercise and activity he needs. I love this dog, but love alone doesn’t give him the life he deserves.
Ghost is an incredibly sweet, affectionate boy. He loves being close to his person, loves to snuggle, and sleeps beside me every night. When I’m upset, he notices and comes to me. He’s a very loving, sensitive dog.
He’s also surprisingly calm for a Malinois. He doesn’t constantly run around, he doesn’t jump all over me, and he’s not the stereotypical Malinois bouncing off the walls. But he is still a young, intelligent working dog, and he needs an outlet for his brain and his energy. When he gets bored, he digs—and my yard has definitely paid the price. He needs someone who can exercise him, work with him, train him, and give that smart Malinois brain something productive to do.
Ghost is crate trained and does well with small dogs. I have never seen him around children and don’t know whether he has lived with them before, so I will not claim that he’s good with kids when I simply don’t know.
I am looking for someone who preferably has Belgian Malinois or working-breed experience and understands that even though Ghost is calmer than many Mals, he still needs structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and consistency.
Please understand: I am not trying to dump this dog or get rid of him because he’s inconvenient. I’m trying to do the responsible thing because I recognize that I cannot physically provide what this particular breed needs. I want him to have more than I can give him.
I am not in a hurry to hand Ghost to the first person who asks. The right home matters more than the fastest home. I will ask questions to make sure it’s a good fit.
There will be a rehoming fee to help ensure a safe and serious placement.
If you have the experience and lifestyle Ghost needs—or know someone trustworthy who does—please message me privately.
Please share with experienced Malinois/working-dog people who may be able to help this very sweet boy find where he belongs. ️
