I'm selling my piano! This has been my main practice and teaching studio piano -- I'm very, very sad to see it go, but am moving cross-country to a much smaller space for grad school and will unfortunately not be able to take it with me. It's a wonderful instrument and is an absolute delight to play. It had been refurbished when I bought it, so is in excellent mechanical condition. Great action and feel. The Satin Black finish is really beautiful and it looks stunning in a living room. I've had it tuned/maintained every 6 months since owning it.

The Yamaha G Series was the company's precursor to the well-known C series pianos. They are amazing instruments that feature a lot of the same build quality as the more-refined C series, but are much more affordable. Amongst technicians, these pianos are known for their durability and longevity and are easy to maintain. The G series pianos were built exclusively at Yamaha's factory in Hamamatsu, Japan. The "E" in some Yamaha piano serial numbers sometimes refers to the Kemble piano factory in the UK, which constructed pianos under the Yamaha brand name between 1990-2009, however this doesn't appear to be the case for the G series, which were manufactured from 1965 up until about 1990. This particular piano was built in 1972, which is a great era for Yamaha pianos -- the tone is a lot warmer than some of the newer Yamahas, which tend to get a little too bright for my taste. With proper care and maintenance this piano will last many more years.

This particular instrument was made for the US market and is NOT a gray market piano. It appears to have been retrofitted with a PianoDisc system, but is missing the front disc console.
