ZelleVery rare Focus Paralane full carbon road bike for sale.
Focus is a German brand that used to have distribution in the US but pulled back to Europe only again a few years ago... probably during or after COVID--which threw the entire bike industry for a loop. They used to sponsor Pro-Tour road racing teams--like AG2R La Mondiale and Team Milram--who rode their Izalco models--which are crazy light and designed for pro racing. And they still sell very high end road bikes... just not the US.

The Paralane is their Endurance model... which is focused a bit more on comfort than on pure speed. I mean... it's plenty fast enough if you've got the legs to run the engine. But it's just smoother and more refined then the Izalco.
I bought this bike from a shop that was a Focus dealer out near Laguna Beach when I was living out on the west coast for a while.
I'm no pro racer so I was just looking for something reasonably light and reasonably comfortable and reasonably affordable. And this was the right bike. (I paid around $2700 for it at that time.)
I have several different bikes--for various different types of riding that I do... mountain, gravel, road... so none of them get ridden too much. I'm trying to consolidate at the moment and thin the herd down a bit.
Size-wise Focus calls this frame a "Small"... with a 48cm seat tube and a 52.5cm effective top tube... so they call it a 51cm... which is right in between the seat and top tube lengths.
From pretty extensive experience with this and many other bikes, I'd say the ideal rider height for this one is going to be +/- 5'4" up to around 5'-8"... with +/- 1" on either side of that with some additional fitting. (I've loaned this bike to a visiting friend who was 5'-10 and we were able to fit her to the bike reasonably well... and she road it about 60 miles without any issues or discomfort. But with a loaner bike you really don't have to think about long term fit and comfort as much.)
The bike is 100% original... even has the original fluorescent yellow bar tape... which is bit dirty at this point. But I do have some pretty cool bar tape options--from black to opal to pink to blue to red--that I'd like to choose from.
I also have a few different pedal options... from basic Shiman SPD and SPD-SL to SpeedPlay to LOOK to TIME. Again, I'll let you choose--and will even give you a quick tutorial on the different brands and types of pedals and cleats if you don't know anything about 'em.
This has been a great bike for me and looks and rides pretty much showroom new. I've never crashed on it... don't even think I've even tipped over... but it has a little normal wear and tear from casual recreational riding and being on a bike rack now and then.
In terms of my riding impressions compared to other bikes I've owned and currently own... I'd say this bike is an outstanding "all-rounder" that would be a great beginner bike for someone--or even an upgrade for someone currently riding an older, heavier, jankier bike... or a bike that is too small or too big for them. Again, it is an "endurance" bike... so it's not the bike you want if you plan on doing crit races or trying to win LOTOJA. But for just riding around town, doing long rides on the Jordan River Trail / Legacy Parkway system... riding up Emigration or Mill Creek... doing laps around Sugarhouse Park... Little Red Riding Hood / Goldilocks... etc... it's plenty fast enough.
It has hydraulic disc brakes--which stop it on a dime--and allow you to run as big a tire as you would want to with a bike like this. (I think it currently has 28c tires on it... which are buttery smooth yet still quick.)
Reply with any questions or to check out the bike in person. I'm in the 9th & 9th area of SLC.
