PayPalFor sale is my Ameritron AL-80A Amplifier that has been the backbone of my Amateur Radio station for the last 30 years. I used it to get DXCC#1. I moved to an HOA-regulated neighborhood and outdoor antennas are not allowed. Why would I need an amplifier?
It has the 10-meter option installed and I have replaced the band switch, meter lamps and parasitic suppressor with the F1BXL model. It uses a single 3-500Z tube made by Eimac in SLC. It is currently wired for 120 VAC, but can be easily wired for 240. It runs 850 watts CW and 1,000 watts on SSB. From a smoke-free environment. It is very clean and runs very well.
It weighs 50 pounds, so I don't want to mail it. Local pick-up only. However, I will drive it up to 150 miles, if you want to meet half-way.
It is set-up for demonstration into a dummy load in my radio shack in South Jordan. If you are interested, please message me and come by and take a look at it.
