This is Roscoe, our 6-year-old Rottweiler. This is not something I’m in a rush to do, and I’m going to be very selective about where he goes.
Roscoe is an awesome dog with an amazing temperament. He’s been well socialized, is trained, and knows his basic commands including heel, stay, come, etc. He loves being around his people and has been a great dog for our family.
He is also a high-drive Rottweiler, so I’m specifically looking for someone who has experience with Rottweilers, working breeds, or other large/high-drive dogs. He would do best with someone who understands that type of dog and can give him the exercise, structure, and attention he deserves.
Unfortunately, I’m in grad school and we recently had an unexpected pregnancy, and between school, work, and a growing family, I just don’t have the time for Roscoe that I used to. He deserves more than simply being squeezed into whatever time I have left over, which is why I’m starting to look for the right situation for him.
There is no urgency to rehome him. He has a home with us until the right person comes along. I’m much more concerned about finding the right fit than finding someone quickly.
