This is a genuine Model B hand-crank leather splitter/skiver, featuring embossed lettering that reads: "AMERICAN ST. LOUIS PAT. 11-28-11 OTHER PAT PEND MODEL-B".Made of heavy, solid cast iron with its original wooden handle grip intact. It is a fantastic functional tool for a traditional leathercrafter, cobbler, or saddle maker. Mechanics: The hand crank turn smoothly.. Cosmetics: Great vintage patina with minimal surface rust. No cracks in the cast iron Blade Status: Blade is included and installed! It has some vintage patina but is intact; it will just need a standard honing/sharpening before use.
