Condition: This motor is not currently operational due to a fatigue failure of a critical electrical ribbon cable located on the control board assembly. Prior to the control board failure, the motor was operating normally. Based on its operating condition before failure, the following major components were functioning properly: Electric motor assembly, Shaft assembly, Propeller and lower unit, Mounting hardware, Tiller handle assembly, Various mechanical components, All components show normal wear for a 20+ year-old motor The failed component is believed to be the control board assembly, but this has not been verified. It is obvious from the attached photo that the electrical ribbon has been severed due to fatigue associated with the tilting tiller mechanism.
