🥺 SENIOR BOY BRUNO JUST WANTS SOMEONE TO CHOOSE HIM. 🤎

Meet Bruno, a beautiful 8-year-old Cane Corso/Mastiff mix with a gentle soul and a whole lot of love left to give.

Bruno found himself in an overcrowded New Mexico shelter where, after receiving very little interest, he was placed on the euthanasia list.

An 8-year-old boy who had done nothing wrong was running out of time simply because there wasn’t enough space.

Thankfully, Bruno made it out. ️ Now he has a foster home where we’re getting to see the sweet, sensitive boy hiding underneath that big Mastiff exterior.

Bruno’s foster says:

🤎 He does GREAT on leash—even the kids have walked him!

🤎 He’s good with children

🤎 He can be left home without destroying anything

🤎 He sleeps peacefully in his kennel with the door OPEN

🤎 He loves being close to his people

🤎 He’s very observant and likes to quietly watch everything happening around him

🤎 He can even walk around the property with his foster and stays right by their side

🤎 And his love language might just be little squares of ham.

Bruno can be skittish and startles easily, but he has shown no aggression when frightened. He’s simply a sensitive older gentleman learning that he’s safe. ️

He also has some separation anxiety and may whine or bark when his people leave because he would much rather be wherever they are. His foster is working with him on this, and the good news is that he doesn’t become destructive.

Toys? Meh.

️ Balls? No thanks.

Swimming? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

️ Hanging out with his humans and being a giant couch potato? Now we’re talking.

Bruno isn’t looking for a wild, crazy life.

He’s already had enough uncertainty.

He would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who appreciates a big, gentle senior boy and will give him the patience and reassurance he deserves.

Senior dogs are so often overlooked, especially the big ones. But Bruno doesn’t know he’s “less adoptable.” He just knows how good it feels to finally have a soft place to sleep and people nearby. 🥺

We want to make sure he never loses that again.
