ApplePaySold our houseboat and going on a mission so the Jet Skies also need to go.
Selling our complete family jet ski setup: three Yamaha EX Sport WaveRunners, one Sea-Doo Spark, and 4- jet ski trailer.
We purchased the setup in 2023 and have only really used it for family trips to Lake Powell — roughly 10 trips total. These have never been rental machines and have only been used by family and friends.
We have a lot of great memories on these skis. They have been very reliable, easy to ride, and especially good for people who have never ridden a jet ski before. Over the years we have had plenty of first-time riders learn on them without any trouble.
Actual hours:
Yamaha EX Sports: approximately 175–190 hours each
Sea-Doo Spark: approximately 89 hours
Why the mix - I wanted to try both major brands? The both have thier pros and cons. I usually ride the Seadoo, The Yamaha EX are a little faster the Seadoo has a little more precision and I like the reverse on it a lot better than the yamaha. I typically pull a tube with the yamaha but I have pulled a rope with 10 paddle boarders holding on down a canyon with the Seadoo.
The skis do show cosmetic wear from normal Lake Powell use, including some scratches and scuffs, but they have been taken care of mechanically and in how they were used. The engines are in excellent conditions, the bumpers look like you would expect when you take them down narrow canyons.
One important point: these skis have never been beached. At Lake Powell they were always kept in the water behind our houseboat using boat whips rather than being pulled up onto the sand or rocks. You can see in the photos that, despite normal cosmetic wear from years of family use, the hulls have been treated well.
Mechanically they are in excellent condition. We recently had the skis checked by a powersports shop and were told the engines are running extremely well. (the word they used was "like new" and "barely broken-in") They have been dependable every time we have taken them out. We store them between trips with the batteries disconnected and I change the oil each season.
Included with the package:
3 Yamaha EX Sport WaveRunners
1 Sea-Doo Spark
Built 4-place jet ski trailer
Yamaha hours approximately 175–190
Sea-Doo approximately 90 hours
Recent mechanical inspection/checkup
Privately owned
Never beached
Stored indoors
Engines run great
Entire set up orginally purchased new for $40k
This has been an awesome Lake Powell setup. One truck, one trailer and four skis makes it incredibly easy to take a larger family or group to the lake.
The bodywork shows normal recreational use, and I've tried to price them accordingly. If you're looking for mechanically excellent skis that have been well cared for and you don't need perfect showroom cosmetics, this is a great setup.
