The MXR M120 Auto Q is a hybrid dynamic envelope filter and auto-wah pedal housed in MXR’s classic heavy-duty textured black enclosure.

Beyond standard dynamic envelope filtering, it features an integrated shimmer/decay circuit that blends subtle, rotary-like modulation into the tail end of your picking envelope.

Controls & Layout:

• Volume: Sets the overall wet signal output level.\
• "Q": Adjusts the filter's peak sharpness/resonance (from subtle filter sweeps to sharp, biting wah tones).\
• Range: Determines the lower frequency starting threshold for the filter sweep.\
• Decay: Controls how quickly the envelope filter closes back down.\
• Blend: Mixes in the secondary shimmer/modulation effect at the end of the filter sweep.\
• Rate: Controls the oscillation speed of the shimmer effect.\
• Band Switch (LO / MID / HI): Selects the target frequency emphasis, tailoring the sweep response for low-end punch, mid midrange focus, or bright high-end response.
