VenmoNice pair of Infinity RS-425 Reference Standard speakers, fully tested and working properly. These are substantial bookshelf/stand-mount speakers from Infinity's early-'90s era, introduced in 1993. They use Infinity's lightweight IMG (Injection Molded Graphite) woofer along with a matching 6.5" passive bass radiator, giving them impressive bass response for a relatively compact cabinet.
Most importantly, the woofer surrounds have been professionally refoamed, addressing one of the primary age-related issues with these speakers. They have been tested after the work and are playing properly.
Driver complement & specifications: • 6.5" IMG woofer • 6.5" IMG passive bass radiator • ¾" ferrofluid-cooled Polycell tweeter • 2-way passive-radiator design • Frequency response: 58 Hz–25 kHz ±3 dB • Sensitivity: 92 dB @ 2.8V/1m • Nominal impedance: 6 ohms • Power rating: 20–150 watts RMS • Crossover frequency: 3,100 Hz • Approx. 22.5"H × 9.1"W × 11.25"D
At 92 dB sensitivity, they're considerably more efficient than many bookshelf speakers and don't require a huge amplifier to produce satisfying volume. The passive-radiator design also allows Infinity to get deeper bass from the cabinet without the airflow noise that can accompany a conventional port.
Professionally Serviced The original woofer foam surrounds deteriorate with age on many vintage Infinity speakers. I have professionally refoamed both woofers, restoring the proper suspension and allowing these speakers to continue performing as intended. All drivers have been tested and are working properly.
These would make a great vintage 2-channel setup and pair especially well with receivers and integrated amplifiers from NAD, Yamaha, Pioneer, Marantz, Technics, Sansui and similar equipment.
I work in South Salt Lake and live in Eagle Mountain, so I'm happy to meet somewhere in between. If you'd like to hear them before buying, you're also welcome to demo them at my house. Text Mike 702-518-9776
