VenmoFor sale is a pair of Advent Maestro 3-way floor-standing speakers, fully tested and sounding great.
The Maestro was one of Advent's upper-end designs from the late 1980s, originally selling for approximately $700 per pair. These are substantial 50 lb. acoustic-suspension speakers using a 10" woofer, dedicated dome midrange and soft-dome tweeter. Contemporary specifications rated them at 90 dB sensitivity with response extending down to around 40 Hz.
They have a classic understated Advent sound and a particularly attractive cabinet design with solid pecan top and bottom trim, beveled edges and full-length removable grilles.
Specifications: • 3-way acoustic-suspension/sealed design • 10" woofer • 2" mica-filled polypropylene dome midrange in its own sub-enclosure • 1" ferrofluid-filled soft-dome tweeter • Frequency response: 40 Hz–23 kHz ±2.5 dB • Sensitivity: 90 dB • Nominal impedance: 6 ohms • Rated power handling: 150 watts RMS • Solid pecan top and base • Approximately 33¼"H × 16"W × 9⅜"D • Approximately 50 lbs. each
Condition Both speakers have been tested and are working properly, with the woofers, midranges and tweeters all playing as they should. The cabinets and pecan trim present very nicely for their age, and I have replaced the original grille cloth with brand-new cloth, giving the speakers a much cleaner, refreshed appearance while retaining their classic Advent look.
With the grilles removed, the original acoustic foam on the front baffles has deteriorated with age, as is common with these speakers. This doesn't effect the sound, is hidden when the grilles are installed and does not detract from their excellent appearance in normal use.
I work in South Salt Lake and live in Eagle Mountain, so I'm happy to meet somewhere in between. If you'd like to hear them before buying, you're also welcome to demo them at my house. Text Mike 702-518-9776
