KSL’s Pawfect Match event at the Humane Society of Utah helps over 50 animals

We all get by with a little help from our friends. Pets are no different! Our KSL Pawfect Match, in partnership with our longstanding friends at the Humane Society of Utah, is another great adoption event under our collars. It was even more successful than we anticipated, with a great turnout and more animals adopted than our goal.

KSL Pawfect Match recap

KSL Classifieds has partnered with the Humane Society of Utah before to help make it easier for pets to get adopted. This year, we sponsored the Pawfect Match event where adoption fees were waived for certain animals in the hopes of getting more pets into a fur-ever home. 

And what luck our furry friends had. The goal was to get 45 animals adopted. Instead, 53 animals were taken home. Yay! We’re wagging our tails to that. Here’s the breakdown of pets who found the purr-fect parents:

• Adult cats: 18

• Kittens: 17

• Adult dogs: 13

• Puppies: 4

• Rabbits: 1

One way we’ve done this is by implementing pet listing fees for cats and dogs to deter unethical breeders. We continue to be enthusiastic participants in our neighborhoods to help as many animals as we can. Each year we look forward to sponsoring several pet related events with local shelters. And thanks to people like you, we can hope for more successful pet adoption events in the future.
