ApplePayEarly 1965 Fender Jaguar with original Sunburst Finish, L-series serial stamped neck plate and original case.
Really nice all-original '65 Jaguar. Great playing and sounding, original finish, hardware and pickups. Includes the string mute and bridge cover. The volume pot was replaced but the original is included in the case.
Neck is stamped 1MAR65B and the nut measures 41mm, neck depth is .82" at the first fret and .97" at the twelfth.
Guitar weighs 8lbs 6oz
There is some minor shrinkage on the pick guard which is common but it's fitting fine and one could slightly sand or file the existing holes for a better fit over the pickups.
Finish shows appropriate wear for it's age and the flower power sticker on there is definitely of it's time and contributes to the overall vintage vibe.
Also includes the original Parker Bodyguard Plastic protector that was available in the 60s and 70s for most Fender guitars. This guitar clearly had the Parker Bodyguard on it for a good long while, and there is an area on the back where the finish has worn away from it being on there, also along the sides of the guitar you can see where the foam from the plastic cover reacted with the finish. From the front you don't notice it, and honestly I'd rather have the original finish like this as opposed to some goofy refinish.
Case is in good condition, and while the latches don't pop out like they used to they do the job of securing the case.
