This is a special needs household, maintained as a friendly and privacy respecting safe refuge of disabled individuals surviving with lung disease and neurological disabilities in this air pollution prone and high altitude environment. To be clear- having special needs yourself is not required to live here, rather commitment to respect and not abuse the vulnerabilities of the disabled housemates.
Located: quiet neighborhood near Kearns High School. Sorry, the house is NOT, and cannot be made to be, wheelchair accessible. It is well arranged for reduced mobility and for O2 use, and friendly to disability-related needs of new housemates.
Available: Now. 2 single occupancy main floor bedrooms, 10.5 x 11 foot. 1) is fully furnished (double bed) and 2) is unfurnished (will fit up to a king bed). Each has a closet and 2 big windows with sun blinds and diffusing sheers. Scrubbed and fresh painted, though you are welcome to change the color.
Safety requirements for environmentally aggravated disabilities: No smoking, no air fresheners, incense or candles, no perfumes/body sprays, and no chemical cleaning products in the house (Fragrance-free household cleaners and fragrance-free laundry detergents/softeners/etc.. are provided, so there's your laundry bill sorted). And sorry, no pets with dander (meaning fur or feathers), The air indoors is shared communal space and must be maintained in condition that will not harm disabled housemates. The place to enjoy your vape, create your spray paint art masterpiece, or lacquer your stunning style with hairspray is the back patio.
Lease is for private space: a secure bedroom and a driveway parking spot (sloped), And use of fully furnished communal spaces: bathroom is shared between 3 main floor bedrooms, separate cabinets per person; Shared kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator, and plenty of cabinets, or welcome to share my cookware and dishes; Shared main floor lounge with smartTV; Shared laundry is down 1 flight of stairs, the room is bright and spacious for exercise; Shared yard with patios and a large vegetable garden; Shared secure garage storage is sufficient for a bicycle and/or sports gear, but too small for spare furniture etc..
Rent: $500/month for the furnished room, $470/month for the unfurnished room. All utilities are included: internet/WiFi, forced air heating, cooling, electric, water, and trash service. Month-to-month lease. Rent is due on the 1st day of each month by cash, venmo or stripe.
Move-in Costs: a) non-refundable $35 background check fee. b) non-refundable $50 cleaning fee. c) refundable $400 security deposit. d) first months (pro-rated $17/day) and last months rent $500 for furnished room.
