VenmoThis is so hard for me to post… this has been such a heartbreaking decision. I am looking for the perfect home for Trickit, my 17yr old gelding. Don’t let his age fool you… he still acts young and has plenty of energy and life left in him. He’s ½ Quarter Horse and ½ Fox Trotter, so he’s both athletic and smooth to ride.
I’ve had him since he was a baby, which makes this incredibly emotional. But with having young kids and a busy life, I just don’t have the time he truly deserves anymore. He is the kind of horse that needs a job and consistency, and he’s just not ready to be a retired pasture horse.
He absolutely loves trail riding, especially up in the mountains. That is hands down his favorite place to be and where he thrives the most. He also has arena experience from previous years doing 4H and knows barrel patterns and other basic patterns.
He is a sweet, good boy with a big personality, but he can get feisty if he’s not worked regularly, so he will need an experienced and confident rider. He does best when he’s being used consistently.
A few things to note:
• Can be aggressive with other horses around food
• Usually good for the farrier, but can get a little feisty if he hasn’t been worked in a while.
He has so much to offer the right person. especially someone who wants a solid trail horse and will give him the time, attention, and consistency he deserves.
