Meet Mouse — a yearling grade Arab filly looking for her next home. Mouse came from an auction barn with a few registered Arabians. I’m currently working on tracking down her breeding information. When I got her, she wasn’t halter broke. Since then, she’s been dragging a lead and is getting more comfortable with pressure. She will tie, load, haul, and unload well. She’s a curious, willing filly that is coming along nicely. She is still a little skittish about being caught, so I have not taken the lead off yet. I ponied her the other day and she handled it well. She has been brushed all over and is getting more comfortable being touched and handled. I haven’t started on her feet yet, but that is next on the list. She has been dewormed and will receive another dose soon. Mouse is a cute little project with a good start. I think she could make a nice in-hand 4-H prospect or a fun young horse for someone who enjoys bringing one along. I’m asking $550 OBO, which is what I have into her at this point. Price will increase as she gets more training and handling. I’m due in August and won’t have the time she deserves after then, so I’d really like to find her a home that can continue her progress.
