These are rare 1945 World War II US Navy Mk 1 Ammunition Component Boxes made by Ferro Mfg. Co. They were acquired during the Korean War by my father and have been kept in our family in incredible condition.
The Ultimate Food/Gear Storage Proof:
My father used these to store emergency food for 50 years. When opened this year, paper bags of sugar and cake mixes stored in these boxes, dated 1973, were completely bone-dry and like new! The thick rubber gaskets have zero dry rot and seal 100% airtight and waterproof.
