Atlas is a gentle grade gelding. He is the perfect horse to pony around kids or grandkids and with more riding he would be perfect as a kids horse but he's still too green to just let a kid loose on him. We believe atlas is 17 or 18 he’s an easy keeper if he has alfalfa. We have had him for about a year and a half. Where atlas is older his back end is a bit stiff after long rides he does well with light riding. I'm not sure if this is just cause he needs more muscle built up or if he has slight arthritis, either way it doesn’t stop him. He’s got a lot of energy, because of his energy I would say that he’s better suited for an intermediate to advanced rider. Atlas has a lot of go but he also has a really good stop on him if you tell him woah. He’s really just wanting to please everyone. He’s never offered a buck or a rear. He’s been ridden bareback as well as under saddle with a bit and with a halter he responds well to either. We are selling him because we don’t have enough time for him. We have younger horses that just need more attention and consistency than he does. We don’t have time for him. He’s perfect for a light riding horse or a pasture pet. He does well with a farrier as well.
