Skylar is a 6–7 week old Pit Bull/Aussie mix who is proof that life’s challenges don’t define you. As a double merle puppy, Skylar is approximately 90% deaf and partially blind, but she doesn’t let that slow her down for a second.

This little girl is full of joy, curiosity, and puppy mischief. She loves exploring her surroundings, playing with her foster siblings, and discovering the world in her own unique way. Skylar relies heavily on her incredible sense of smell and touch to navigate, and she can see objects that are close to her. Every day she shows us just how adaptable and resilient she is.

Skylar is currently being fostered with a 6-year-old Aussie whom she absolutely adores. She looks to her canine friend for guidance, comfort, and confidence, often following closely behind wherever they go. Because of this, we believe Skylar would do best in a home with another patient, friendly dog who wouldn’t mind having a little shadow by their side.

While Skylar has special needs, what she really needs most is what every puppy needs: love, patience, consistency, and a family willing to help her continue learning about the world. She may experience life a little differently, but she has no shortage of affection, personality, or determination.
