VenmoOriginal Japanese WWII-era helmet brought home from Okinawa by my grandfather after World War II.
Possibly a Type 90 combat helmet cover due to the gold star; the star has not been authenticated as yet. Authentication in process; if authenticated, the estimated value is most likely $450-$600.
The interior retains its original cloth suspension and Japanese inspection/manufacturer tags, including a Showa 18 (1943) date. The exterior has a khaki cloth cover with a yellow star on the front.
The helmet has not been cleaned or restored and is being sold exactly as found. It shows age, staining, and light rust on the interior support band but remains a great display piece with documented family history.
Ideal for collectors of WWII Pacific theater memorabilia or Japanese militaria.
