Venmo2024 1/4 Draft gelding, approximately 14.1 HH and still growing, out of a Driftwood-bred mare. This is a neat young gelding with a lot of the qualities we look for in a future using horse. He has been shown in halter classes since he was a weanling.
He has had 90 days of professional training and is going good under saddle. He has been used moving cattle and doing ranch work, so he isn't just an arena-started colt. He's got a fun cadence to him and is a more-whoa-than-go type—not a horse that's looking for a reason to run off.
He's been great with time off and comes back to work good with a little refresher. Good to load, haul, and trim. Hard hooves never had to show him. Very easy and pleasant to have around on the ground. He has a kind eye and willing attitude and generally gets along well with people.
He can be a little buddy sour, so we're looking for someone who has the experience to continue building his confidence and independence. He's still a young horse and isn't being advertised as a finished beginner horse, but he has a very solid foundation for his age and a lot of room to go in any direction.
With his size, bone, disposition and ranch experience, I think this gelding could make someone a really nice all-around ranch, trail, sorting, or versatility horse as he continues to mature and gain miles.
