Looking for a dog who can be your couch buddy, adventure partner, personal shadow AND occasional professional zoomie athlete? Meet Lorelai.
At around five years old, Lorelai has figured out the important things in life: comfy couches are amazing, her people are everything, and sometimes you just need to run around like a maniac for absolutely no reason.
She is house trained, professionally trained, dog-friendly with thoughtful introductions, and incredibly affectionate once she knows you’re one of her people. She’s approximately 33% American Pit Bull Terrier and 31% Labrador Retriever, which apparently creates one very smart, loyal, goofy girl.
Lorelai is happiest when she’s with the people she loves. She’ll happily lounge around the house with you, head out for an adventure, or supervise whatever you’re doing because obviously you require assistance.
And when Lorelai loves you, she really loves you. She forms incredibly strong bonds with her people and is looking for someone who wants that kind of loyal sidekick.
So what’s her catch?
Lorelai doesn’t immediately assume every stranger is her new best friend. Honestly, relatable. 😂
Her life didn’t exactly give her a reason to trust everyone right away. Lorelai was originally found tied to a tree and abandoned before being taken to the shelter. The shelter environment was incredibly difficult for her, and that’s when ManyPaws stepped in.
Since entering foster care, we’ve watched her blossom.
She may be cautious when meeting someone new, but give her a calm introduction and a little time to decide you’re safe, and you’ll get to see the sweet, silly, affectionate dog her foster family knows and loves.
Even better, Lorelai has been working with a professional dog training company to build her confidence and give her the tools she needs to succeed. She is e-collar trained, understands structure and boundaries, and her adopter will receive additional professional training lessons to help make the transition into her forever home successful.
In other words, we’re not just handing you a dog and saying, “Good luck!” We’re invested in making this match work.
Lorelai doesn’t need someone to feel sorry for her.
She needs someone to meet her.
Because we have a feeling that once the right person does, they’re going to wonder how this goofy, loyal, couch-loving girl was ever overlooked.
