Born in October 2023 and weighing just 7 pounds, Dan is a terrier mix with a big personality packed into a tiny body. This adorable little guy is looking for a patient, dog-savvy home that will give him the time he needs to feel safe and secure.

Dan has a history of abuse, so new people can be intimidating for him. He doesn't give his trust away immediately, but if you're willing to move at his pace and let him come to you, you'll discover a playful, active, and incredibly charming companion. Once comfortable, Dan loves to explore, play, and show off his fun terrier spirit.

**His ideal adopter will understand dog body language and be willing to adjust their interactions based on what Dan is communicating. Experience with terriers and small dogs is a huge plus. Dan can be unsure of himself at times and benefits from gentle guidance, consistency, and respect for his boundaries.**Because of his sensitive nature, Dan would do best with older, respectful children who understand that he needs space when he's feeling overwhelmed. He can also be a bit much for other dogs, as he's still learning appropriate dog-to-dog social skills and doesn't always understand canine manners.
